PARK HISTORY

Providence Park is located in the newly chartered City of Milton in North Fulton County. The Park can trace its origins back to the late 60's — early 70's when Providence Lake was created as a watershed. The 45 acres surrounding the lake were designated a public park in 1971. In addition to the lake, the park provides the community with a series of hiking trails and several creeks and wetlands to explore.

The Fulton County Department of Public Works currently manages Providence Park.

PARK AMENITIES

A park center building/main lodge, amphitheater and pavilion are the facilities located in the park for the community's use, as well as grills, picnic tables, and overnight camp sites. The park also provides the City of Milton and its surrounding areas with one of the few natural environments to participate in outdoor rock climbing. Patrons can enjoy rock climbing and rappelling at any of the following areas: Rock Climbing Cliff, Climbing Walls, and High Ropes Challenge Course.

The Physical Address of the park is:
13440 Providence Park Drive
Alpharetta, Georgia 30004
